Trump is the worst president in American history, not “modern times.” He is an international menace and a threat to all living things. His incompetence and stupidity are equaled only by his arrogance.
The New York Times reports:
WASHINGTON — President Trump on Wednesday unilaterally weakened one of the nation’s bedrock conservation laws, the National Environmental Policy Act, limiting public review of federal infrastructure projects to speed up the permitting of freeways, power plants and pipelines.
In doing so, the Trump administration claimed it will save hundreds of millions of dollars over almost a decade by significantly reducing the amount of time allowed to complete reviews of major infrastructure projects.
The president announced the final changes to the rule at the U.P.S. Hapeville Airport Hub in Atlanta, making the case that “mountains and mountains of red tape” and lengthy permit processes have held up major infrastructure projects across the country, including a lane expansion to the perpetually clogged Interstate 75 in Georgia.
“All of that ends today,” he said. “We’re doing something dramatic.”
Revising the 50-year-old law through regulatory reinterpretation is one of the biggest — and most audacious — deregulatory actions of the Trump administration, which to date has moved to roll back 100 rulesprotecting clean air and water, and others that aim to reduce the threat of human-caused climate change.

Because deep down inside Trump pea brain and black heart he knows he is going to loose the re-election that his narcissistic pathic life depends upon. So, he is doing all the damage to this country he can before his butt is kicked out the front door of the white house. All these changes to the environmental laws is for his benefit when he crawls out of the oval office in January 2021. None of his actions are for the good of this nation, its people, or the world. It is all about Trump. Nothing else.

Trump is a vandal. That’s his purpose.
That’s exactly why Putin expended enormous resources to make him president of the United States. Trump could be counted on to wreck everything here. The only question is whether Trump is an outright agent of Moscow or simply an asset, as in, “Let’s give them that idiot, Trump. He’s sure to wreck everything, and we have the goods on him if he doesn’t follow instructions.”

This one will be headed to the courts like so many of Trump’s actions. Correct me if I am wrong, but once this issue is in court, what Trump wants to do will be on hold until a final ruling that will probably come from the US Supreme Court.
It doesn’t matter what happens in whatever federal district court the case is filed in, the loser will appeal to one of the federal circuit courts and the loser there will appeal that decision to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Then the US Supreme Court will either hear the case or refuse meaning the circuit court decision stands.

This is another disastrous action taken by Trump that will negatively affect this country and the world for many generations to come. There are Trump supporters that truly believe everything that he says and does regardless of the outcomes. They are willing to overlook the immoral and unethical actions taken by Trump before and after his election.
I have to question the morals and ethics of people who are willing to vote for a person whose only goal in life is to promote himself and his family. I do not understand all the people that claim to be Christians can serve such an evil person as Trump. Trump’s evilness comes out in every word he speaks and every action he takes.

He is doing what he think is the best for him.
The lawmakers who conceived NEPA [ National Environmental Policy Act ] realized that heading off disastrous projects is better (and cheaper) than cleaning up after them. Climate change has made that truer than ever; it’s a lesson the Trump administration wants to ignore.
One irony of the Trump administration’s regulatory attack on NEPA is that while it’s aimed at fast-tracking approvals for pipelines, coal mines, and oil drilling, it’s actually going to lead to more of a legal mess that will slow down all kinds of projects. Trump cannot change what the statute that Congress passed requires. Courts have said over and over again that NEPA’s requirements include analyzing cumulative impacts. Agencies and developers who ignore this will find themselves in court over and over again.
The rush to gut NEPA is based on a faulty set of facts. These major federal projects affect our health, our communities, and our future. In the past, it has been the poor and communities of color whose health have suffered the most from polluting projects. NEPA can change this. NEPA gives us all a voice. Trump is trying to silence it.

“He is doing what he think is the best for him and the country.”
I am going to revise your claim to what is really going on inside Donald Trump’s malignant narcissistic psychopathic mind.
Here is the revision: “Donald Trump is doing what he thinks is best for him and only him. The hell with everyone else, even the suckers that voted for him.”
“Malignant Narcissism: Does the President Have It? An Update”
“Narcissistic personality disorder has a theme of superiority. It is listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for mental health professionals, known as the DSM-5, and includes such possible traits as a “grandiose sense of self-importance,” “fantasies of unlimited power,” demands for “excessive admiration,” and “lacks empathy.”2
“Several times throughout 2019, President Trump tweeted about himself: “What you have now, so great looking and smart, a true Stable Genius.” And “There are those that think I’m a very stable genius, okay? I watch my words very, very closely.”3
In January 2020, a YouTube video was compiled of his claims that “nobody knows more than me” about taxes, income, construction, campaign finance, consultants, drones, technology, infrastructure, ISIS, the press, the environment, nuclear weapons, healthcare and several other topics. In some cases, he added “in the world,” “than any human being on earth,” and “in history.” See link in footnotes.4 Such statements could not be humanly true, so this raises the question of whether he truly believes them himself (a narcissistic trait) or knows he is making false statements (an antisocial trait).
There is a lot more in this Psychology Today piece that every American, especially those that think Donald Trump cares about this country, should read until they understand what it means.
