The IDEA act is on jeopardy. This is the act that protects students with disabilities and guarantees their right to a free and appropriate education.

Diane – Please provide us with ammunition to save the IDEA which indicates how successful it has been. So many special ed. students have become independent and contributing adults, but we hardly ever HEAR those stories.
Too many politicians and voters feel special ed. expenditures are futile and pull resources from general ed. students where funds would be better spent. I hope you’ll solicit the special ed. success stories from your readers and researchers to show what a success special education has been for our collective communities as well as the students.
