Can Trump and Melanie sink any lower than this photograph?
The discussion on Twitter is priceless.
One person wrote that the PeePee tape in the Steele report is dignified compare to this.
Another photoshopped the baby in a cage.
Someone else posted a photo on Twitter of Trump at the Parkland hospital after the massacre of 17 students, smiling and giving a thumbs-up.
These people are not normal.
Trump and his family are way beyond being just NOT NORMAL. They are extremely abnormal. What is worse than abnormal? If there is an answer, that is Trump and his family.
And talking crowd size in the hospital.
It wasn’t just an outrageous moment.
Signs of a rift between the Trump Whiter House and State Propaganda News Network Fox?
Tucker Carlson claimed in his nightly prayer service for mentally deficient Trumpeteers that all the white supremacists in America could fit comfortably inside a football stadium. Tucker (not sure I got the first letter in that name right) is on thin ice with this, for Imperial Wizard Jabba the Trump is famously sensitive about his crowd sizes, so sensitive that these became a major talking point with him when he visited survivors of the white supremacist goon violence in El Paso. He made sure to tell the grieving survivors that he had a bigger crowd in El Paso than Beto did.
Trump is simply following a long held best practice and tradition of the GOP and Democrats: “Never waste a good crisis!”
This is deplorable. I don’t know which was worse: Melania’s Medusa-ridden maternal media stunt or her girl-on-girl porn poses objectifying women.
In the 1920’s, “Community Civics and Rural Life”, by Arthur W. Dunn, was widely read throughout the U.S. Australian Rupert Murdoch, Americans Charles and David Koch, Walton heirs, and Gates have taken the nation far from its roots to a dark place, that the people who built this nation wouldn’t recognize. Dunn wrote, “Autocratic Germany had a most thorough-going system of education, but a system that made autocracy possible…they were taught to submit to authority, and not to exercise control over it. In a nation whose aim is to afford to every citizen equal opportunity to make the most of himself and whose people are self-governing, education must develop the power of self-direction. …These facts explain why public education is the largest single item of expense in our government, except in times of war…What is the true end of American education? Is it life or a living? (Dunn concluded the answer was, a life)….The schoolhouse is becoming more and more the center of community life…many states support higher education institutions, state universities, at which attendance is free….Objection to taxes seems especially unreasonable when we consider that the value of the services rendered by government is, as a rule, far in excess of what it costs the individual citizen.”
The parents of America’s richest 10% failed to teach their children civics and the 90% failed to make them learn.
Wow–I just put a REALLY long comment in here, & it wiped out!
As I’m ill, I don’t, just now, have the patience to re-write it, but I urge you to read the current issue of New York magazine, August 5-18, 2019. A very telling article, “Ivanka Aeternum,” another on T.
&–hate to mention in the same comment, as we’re talking opposites here–an outstanding Warren article by the highly respected Rebecca Traister, “Elizabeth Warren’s Classroom Strategy.” A MUST read for all of us.
I hope I finally have a link right:

If not, please enter it into your search engine; the entire issue is available to read online.
Thank you. That article on Elizabeth Warren was outstanding! Go Elizabeth Warren! She’s my candidate!
No candidate is perfect.
Warren has introduced S.800 that will have the effect of making the economic return on investment (ROI) the major criterion for making federal and possibly state investments in postsecondary education, including technical training for certificates and graduate school. Amy Klobuchar is among the co-signers of this bi-partisan bill.
The income of every postsecondary student will be tracked as soon as they graduate, five years beyond graduation, and possibly at other intervals of time. Income will be tracked by the use of IRS data for each student and by the immediate repeal of restrictions on the use of personally identifiable information (PII) now present in the Higher Education Act.
This bill is marketed as a way to address the student loan crisis. It does nothing other than steer students to “best bang for the buck” programs and it does so without paying attention to labor markets.
Even without Warren’s bill, states are using the ROI measure as if the only legitimate reason to continue your education after high school is
ROI. It is already known that this assertion of what is MOST valuable in education will help to steer many students away from studies in the arts, humanities, social services (including teaching), scientific inquiry that has no immmediate payoff.
Warren is a brilliant person. Her one flaw is that she is an accountability hawk. She is strongly in favor of testing and accountability, which as we know, has been wrongly used to close schools that enroll the neediest students.
I wish I could talk to her. I have reached out to friends who are close to her but the campaign feels no urgency to do more on education because they are “on a roll.”
Diane,
Maybe I can get a hold of her. I’m sure my $100 donation has a lot of pull.😁
Re: Can Trump and Melanie sink any lower than this photograph?
My comment yesterday on Facebook —
The appropriate expression is that of the woman to the left of Melania.
To call the photo inappropriate does not do the image justice. It is a bizarre and grotesque photo, but then so is the entire administration.
Exactly what one would expect.
Obscene indeed. Trump is the mirror in a funhouse where nothing is as it seems and reality is twisted and contorted into grotesque imitations of what you know is real. Pure id. Putin’s puppet.
Bernie: Trump is an idiot.

To Donald Trumpty Dumpty, with Apologies to EBB
How do I loathe thee? Let me count the ways.
I loathe thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach. I cannot stand the sight
Of thee. Disdain thou makest me embrace.
I loathe thee to the level of every day’s
Most fervent rage, by sun and monitor light.
I loathe thy morals, thy contempt for every right.
I loathe thy vanity, seeking constant praise.
I loathe thee with the passion one might choose
To heap on vandals, and with my childhood’s faith
That our decency, under thy boot, we shall not lose.
So may we curse thee with every waking breath
Thy objectification of all, thy conman’s ruse,
Thy instincts not of a man but of a wasp on Meth.
If this were the documentary of a person whose life drifted into obscurity, this is what the end would look like.

These are despicable people…Trump, Melania, Ivanka, Jared, and their Republican supporters. As we are seeing, they are dangerous too.
As usual; the imbecile is clueless. Not just this one, either. The shot of the two of them smiling over the child who was in the hospital bed was beyond the pale, as well.
Well, I hate to excuse Trump here or anywhere, but isn’t it the case that in the US the automatic reaction to a camera is the fake smile and a thumbs up-like gesture? Even my own kids cannot help to put on a fake laugh for a camera, though both of their parents are Hungarians, and Hungarians rarely see a reason to smile.
Yes, and it’s specifically Trump’s habit to do that and to talk up crowd sizes. But that carries no weight here.
That baby lost both parents. Everyone there is in extreme mourning and grief. And he is the POTUS. This is inexcusable, outrageous and obscene. It wasn’t just that moment, as I’ve pointed out. He was there discussing crowd sizes too. So, he’s not putting on some act to cheer up the suffering or anything like that.
Imagine he were at the scene after a shooting or bombing at one of his hotels. Do you think for a second he would take a photo like that?
Not such a fat fetch that he’s giving a thumbs up to his anti-immigration supporters:
Mission accomplished!
Yes, I was going to mention that too, but it’s complicated. So many parallels to Hitler and close ties to white supremacists, including being one, yet so much idiocy. Is he sending signals or those around him? Or are they operating that way at all?
It is impeachably ridiculous that we have to seriously consider this!!!
He will turn on everyone around him, then the country.

It’s not how low can he go, it’s when does he ever make his way back up for air?
Do you think “he who will not be named” really breathes air instead of sulfur and CO2 fumes?
Too environmentally friendly.
