I guess I appreciate Ms. Disney’s message, but then again, Disney is known for having a few labor problems. If Ms. Disney is really concerned for the 99%, perhaps she could take a closer look at her own company, no?

I don’t think she’s involved in the Disney corporation. She’s described as a film maker (her own film company) and philanthropist.

It’s a public company. One of the largest shareholders is Laurene Powell Jobs. Abigail Disney seems to be a decent person. She’s the granddaughter of Roy O. Disney, the co-founder of the Walt Disney Company and her great uncle was Walt Disney. I can’t find any info that says she owns a share of Disney Inc. And even if she did, she probably does not hold the majority share.
She doesn’t even have a chair on the Board of Directors for Disney Inc.
Her father had four children and that included Abigail, so if there was an inheritance from her father who was an only child, it was probably divided with her siblings. And we aren’t counting Walt’s children, Diane and Sharon (adopted).

Nice to know that at least one of the 1% has a functioning conscience. In any case, her advice is spot on, vote straight Democratic on Tuesday.
Slightly off topic: I saw a little bit of the debate between Bernie Sanders and his GOP standard issue prevaricator opponent (Lawrence Zupan). Of course, as one would expect, the GOPer accused Bernie of admiring, Cuba, Venezuela and North Korea and socialism, socialism, socialism, blah, blah. Bernie is a democratic socialist which is different than what is going on in Cuba or Venezuela. This is the big stick that the GOP is using against the Democrats, the socialism smear; it’s constant, loud and never ending. As for universal health care, don’t you even dare think about it as long as the GOP is in control. It’s GOP swift boating and McCarthyism, truly vile and despicable.
