Tony Delgado is a wonderful candidate who is running in upstate New York against a Republican incumbent.
He is excellent on education issues.
I just sent him a contribution.
I hope you will too.
Our regular reader John Ogozalek went to a town hall and questioned Tony Delgado, and came away convinced that he really understands the issues that matter.
Tony’s opponent is a Trumpista.

From 2003, but still relevant & important to anyone concerned with education as well as democracy.

If you’re being bullied, intimidated, by people at work, in your family, or even at church to vote for a red candidate, agree with the bullies about the candidate — until you get into the voting booth where you can take advantage of America’s wonderful secret ballot system and vote blue, and they’ll never know…never. After the election you can shake your head along with the bullies as they wonder how in the world their candidate lost, meanwhile laughing inside.

Good advice. That way anyone that votes blue will avoid the death threats.

I also would recommend that you look at Marc Friedenberg, who is running for Congress in Pennsylvanis’s 12th District, trying to win an uphill battle to unseat Tom “Opioid King” Marino. Marc is a great guy, and from what I can tell is good on public education. And he’s at a huge fundraising disadvantage.

🗳️Antonio Delgado is running in NY-19, an Obama/Trump district, against incumbent John Faso. John Faso voted to cut food assistance through the Farm Bill even though 42,000 households in his district rely on SNAP to keep from going hungry. As a first-time candidate, Delgado is running on his “Good Governance” agenda, highlighting his commitment to hold town halls, reject corporate PAC money, and end the cozy relationships between lobbyists and Congress.
