I read this article and thought it was worth sharing.
What is the Trump Doctrine?
“THE BIG IDEA: President Trump believes he understands the world better than the generals, diplomats, intelligence officers and senators who have been working on national security issues for decades longer than he has.
“He’s the first president in American history with no prior governing or military experience. Yet he often proceeds with the certitude of someone like Dwight Eisenhower, who led the Allied invasion on D-Day, even if he later changes his mind.
“Ten stories from the past few days — mostly overshadowed by Independence Day festivities — highlight the president’s clashes with and disdain for experts in the U.S. government. Read together, they help flesh out what might be considered a Trump doctrine on foreign policy.”

Our Dear Leader has been “preparing for this all [his] life.” Why should we worry?

The Alt-Rights’ Dear Leader, not my dear leader.
The Alt-Right or Trump’s Alt-Right is eerily similar to the Nazi Party under Hitler. When will the Kremlin’s Agent Orange grow a Hitler mustache?

I was looking through a book I read on the Spanish Civil War and came across this quote about Franco’s forces: “They shared a determination to establish an authoritarian corporative state, to destroy the organizations of the working class and to dismantle the institutions of democracy.”
Assuming that our Dear Leader knows who Franco was or even that a Spanish Civil War occurred (HUGE assumption, I know), is this what he really emulates? As we look to our future with reactionaries setting the agenda is it less The Handmaid’s Tale and more 1930s/40s/50s Spain?
Also: I never refer to the current inhabitant of the White House by his name. I’ve found that when I call him our Dear Leader in conversations with his supporters, it drives them nuts. Good times.

Good idea not to refer to “Him who will not be Named” by name. I should have learned that from Harry Potter.

The list is a good summary.
I wonder if Trump will manage to insult the Queen of England?
He may be in the mood after seeing the inflated portrait of himself in diapers, grasping his cell phone. http://www.thetimesmag.com/activists-plan-giant-trump-baby-balloon-to-protest-his-uk-visit/

What the queen thinks truly is the least of my worries. But that balloon is truly wonderful. It should fly wherever our Dear Leader travels and would be a good replacement for the presidential seal until (or if) a normal human being takes office again.

I don’t think he’s sophisticated or has the concentration power to play RISK (loved that board game). Probably doesn’t play Monopoly but same idea of taking over random property to screw (sorry) someone else’s property and life.
So I’m thinking his model for all of this is Austin Powers. Just randomly wants to take over some part of the world taking no advice from anyone.
He is scary. He wanted to invade a country – – any country so he could say he invaded a country.
He baits our enemies.
Putin is KGB with experience in the room for decades. President has been on the Apprentice. Will he meet ALONE with Putin?
Kim is fixated on power. People in his country are expendable. President loves the guy and thinks he’s accomplished history by having a meeting.
He’s started a trade war because he thinks that’s how you do business. HAVE WE SEEN HIS TAXES to see that’s worked for him before?
One of these countries is going to launch something – we’re going to turn to our allies – and they wont’ be there.
ZERO EXPERIENCE. IGNORES ADVISORS. LIES. and cheats.
FOX NEWS IS RUNNING THE COUNTRY AND WE DIDN”T ELECT THEM.
WHY AREN”T GOP CONGRESSMEN SPEAKING UP?

Trump foreign policy? Well, related. Wasn’t it our moron of a POTUS that mimicked the motion of knifings? What kind of a POTUS does that!?! It’s a presidency, of the greatest world power, not an inconsequential private dinner party for wealthy likeminded twits.

Norman Lear made fun of people like Trump 50 years ago. It is truly unconscionable that he is POTUS. Desperation must not call for stupid measures.

Trump says he loves chaos — but when called out for saying such tings, his usual and repeated fallback response is, “I was joking.” But his actions reveal the truth. Believe nothing that comes out of Trump’s mouth or from his Twitter fingers — not even the touch of his breath.

Doctrine? Trump couldn’t spell it much less establish it. Here’s some food for thought.

If I made a poster with clown king Donald’s picture and his words, “I don’t read books” and posted it in my classroom, nearly all of my students would read more books. Something I may have to ponder this summer.
