Football coach Aaron Feis shielded students with his body from the gunfire of a mass murderer in their school in Parkland, Florida. He left a wife and young child.
Cartoonist Oia Guerra couldn’t sleep, thinking of the trAgedy inFlorida. She drew this cartoon.

I posted this on my Facebook page a few days ago. You wouldn’t believe the firestorm it created with some folks. Shame on them…

This cartoon is a sad commentary on our broken government in which only special interest groups matter, and the lives of ordinary citizens do not. We must work to get the money out of politics.

I wept when I saw the cartoon. I keep thinking of what I saw at the monument at Dachau concentration camp. Never Again.

The R is sick. I can’t imagine anything worse that telling these intelligent, grieving kids that they are actors conspiring to hurt the Trump administration and its all a front put up by actors or kids who have been coached to say what their parents have told them to say. I hope they are learning just how corrupt our system of government has become and will be leaders to improve the system when they come of age.

“I am not a crisis actor’: Florida teens fire back at right-wing conspiracy theorists
Welcome, Parkland shooting survivors, to the ugly world of politics in 2018.
In the aftermath of last week’s school shooting in Parkland, Florida, some of the most powerful testimonies have come from the teenagers who survived the rampage. They have repeatedly detailed their harrowing experience to national news networks, many calling for stricter gun control laws while decrying President Donald Trump for not doing enough to protect students. Others have merely wept with grief while telling their stories again and again.
The students have become a mobilizing force unlike any seen after previous mass shootings, planning marches and rallies in Florida and Washington, D.C. – all while mourning the friends they’ve so recently lost.
They have also become a target of right-wing smears and innuendo.
Some prominent figures in the right-wing media are suggesting that the students are making it all up, or that the children are paid actors or that their talking points have been manufactured by public relations experts on the left…

These right wingers and libertarians operate just like the Nazis and fascists did, they repeat lies ad nauseam, ad infinitum. Truth be damned, they don’t care about the truth. They are so low and despicable that they would attack these brave and articulate teens who survived a horrible gun slaughter. These right wingers have no shame, no morals, all they care about is their precious guns.
I am not knocking the responsible gun owners who comment here and who are as appalled at these massacres as I am and who also want to ban the semi-automatics.
