If I read the chart correctly, NJ is all clear. Hurrah!
A little off topic, another tragic side story from the massacre:
Quote: Another student shared his experience as the gunman roamed the halls killing teenagers and teachers. He had the added misfortune of matching the shooter’s description as he tried to make his way to safety.
“I had the same clothes, the same color, the same facial structure,” he said. “The SWAT comes in and I thought they were here to rescue me. But then, as I actually go down the stairs, I found out that I was wrong. I found out that they thought it was me who killed the 17 people … When I went out those doors I had six SWAT members pointing their guns at me. I was tossed to the ground. I was unjustly cuffed and held at gunpoint for the degrading and depreciating action of the disturbed individual, Nikolas Cruz.”
He added that he was placed in a corner under guard by a policewoman for the rest of the evening. He didn’t know if he would be let go. He didn’t know how his friends were doing and he said he felt guilty that his physical appearance took time away from finding the real killer.
“We know there’s going to be change in this country,” he said to applause. “Never again should a tragedy of this caliber happen in this country. Never again.”
End quote.

Actually there were only 3 GOPers listed for 2016:
Garrett, Scott (R-NJ) House $5,950
Christie, Chris (R) Pres $1,500
LoBiondo, Frank (R-NJ) House $1,000
Garrett is gone, he lost to a Democrat.
Christie is gone…HURRAH!
LoBiondo will be retiring this year.

Ever since I found out (NYT) that Senator Todd Young (R-IN) has been paid $2,896,732 by the NRA, I have been writing him an email letter of protest. Here is today’s letter:
2/21 Letter to corrupt Senator Todd Young [R-IN]….Accepted $2,896,732 from the NRA
The NRA is working to give $$$ to gun manufacturers. They create ever more false reasons on why people should carry guns. Their method is to install fear in the population and to pay off corrupt politicians like Senator Todd Young. You accepted the bribe of $2,896,732 from the NRA. Hope the increased amounts of protests, especially by teenagers who worry about being killed, are going to have some effect on you. Doubt that they will.
Here are some facts about gun violence. Funding was taken away from the CDC by Congress, as persuaded by the NRA, to do any gun research. Guess their findings did not correlate with ‘more guns equals more safety”. The opposite is proven to be true…more guns equals more deaths since guns are so lethal. The NRA has worked to instill fear in Americans as the number of killings has increased, upping the number of guns in the population. It is a vicious circle of ‘more guns = more deaths creating more fear = more guns = more deaths = more fear’.
America has 4% of the world’s population but almost half of the civilian owned guns in the world. United Nations data shows that America far and away leads other developed countries when it comes to gun-related homicides. Reviews of research done by the Harvard School of Public Health’s Injury Control Research Centers suggests the answer: The US is an outlier on gun violence because it has way more guns than other developed nations.
Gun Violence Archive reveals there is a mass shooting – defined as four or more people shot in one incident, not including the shooter – nine out of every 10 days on average in the US.
States with more guns have more gun deaths according to a study done in Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention “Within the United States, a wide array of empirical evidence indicates that more guns in a community leads to more homicide,” David Hemenway, the Harvard Injury Control Research Center’s director, wrote in Private Guns, Public Health. It’s not just the US: Developed countries with more guns also have more gun deaths.

The pro-death lobby is every one of the national legislature who vote every year to fund the death and destruction machine that is the US military. They’re all a part of that pro-death attitude and cabal.

Lets Arm all teachers because the NYPD hit rate is 28% . So perhaps instead of doing lesson plans you can go to the gun range . Perhaps with lots of practice you can do better than a cop.
