This is one of the best articles I have read about the First Family.
It captures what their goal is: Money. More money. Never enough money.
Timothy Egan doesn’t even go into the scandal of the Trump hotel near the White House. It is owned by the federal government. The lease signed by the Trump Organization says that no elected official—-no federal elected official—is permitted to profit from the lease. The federal General Services Administration, which of course reports to Trump, decided that the lease doesn’t actually mean what it clearly says. So foreign dignitaries may continue to rent suites at the president’s Hotel, and the president profits.
What a scam.
Egan says that profit for the family is what is at the heart of this administration.
He uses my favorite word for the family of cons who now run our federal government: Grifters. .

And the GOP voters love, love, love Jesus. You would think they were taught about the den of thieves while attending Sunday school? What I don’t understand about these voters, is that they vote for exactly the opposite of what their christian religion preaches? Makes no sense to me…..at all.

All Christians are not equal. The extremists known as evangelical fundamentalists are the extreme fringe just like ISIS, the Taliban, and al Kaeida are in Islam.
I think we’d find that most members of the KKK and members of the American Nazi Party and most white supremacists are fundamentalist Christians. I’ve read that the Koch brothers are extremist Catholics and had a falling out with the new Pope.

I think Trump’s hotels and Ivanka’s Chinese dress deal will be the tip of the iceberg in the Trump kleptocracy. I hope the Russian investigation includes a copy of Trump’s taxes which are released to the public. It is understood that Trump is indebted to Russia, but we do not know how much. I am keeping my eye on the Arctic, where oil companies are looking to drill now that the ice is melting at an alarming rate. We know Tillerson is cozy with Putin. He even received some type of service medal from Russia. We know that Tillerson had already made a deal with the Russians, but Obama’s sanctions got in the way of Exxon and Russia’s joint venture. It is possible they have made a lucrative deal with Trump. This is, of course, pure speculation. If we follow the money, it seems to be leading in this direction. I think it is only a matter of time before the sanctions are lifted.

The Exxon-Russia deal was worth $500 Billion. That’s why Tillerson was awarded a Medal of Friendship by Putin.
Obama sanctions for Russian invasion of Crimea put the deal on hold.

Actually, with oil prices at a relatively low level, the major oil companies are postponing or abandoning their arctic exploration and development plans due to their immense costs, despite Trump’s wishes.
