I watched the beginning of Trump’s speech in Phoenix last night. Standing behind him was a tall black man holding a sign that read “Blacks for Trump.” I didn’t think much about it, other than to wonder why there would be women holding signs that read “Women for Trump.” At least, he no longer has anyone holding up an “LGBTQ for Trump sign.”
But the Washington Post went to the website of the black man standing behind the POTUS.
He calls himself “Michael, the Black Man.”
The radical fringe activist from Miami once belonged to a violent black supremacist religious cult, and he runs a handful of amateur, unintelligible conspiracy websites. He has called Barack Obama “The Beast” and Hillary Clinton a Ku Klux Klan member. Oprah Winfrey, he says, is the devil.
And he loves Donald Trump.
Truth is stranger than fiction.

As I watched Trump speaking, I too, was struck by a sense of awkwardness seeing this man standing there. I began to think that this gathering was not natural, and actually bordered on strange.
Thank you Diane, for pointing out what many others I’m sure viewed as a weird peculiarity with Trump.
Just when one thinks they have seen everything, we must remain ever so vigilant and call this out for what it is.

I felt like the whole spectacle was a kind of national turning point. It was just bizarre 🤔

I noticed him right away. Also there was a Hispanic looking man on the right (trump’s left) that seemed out of place holding signs.

Shall we say . . . “Insane birds of a feather stick together.”? It’s the best Trump can do.

I do wonder if some of those in prime TV view behing Trump may be paid for their super enthusiasms.

In my canvassing work, I encounter significant numbers of blacks, Hispanics and Asians who support Trump. People of South Asian, Korean, Chinese and Vietnamese-descent seem disproportionately fond of him. Some of these folks fled Communist regimes and are ardent right-wingers. Some come from non-democratic nations and may have no appreciation for messy democracy; they may like Trump’s dictatorial traits. Whites do not hold a monopoly on benighted political opinions. Many of these non-whites are racist themselves.

Many non-whites are more racist than the average white.

From the article: “Cherokee Indians like Chief Bill Baker are mostly white people,” he [Michael The Black Man] said, “and Sir John Hawkins, who was the first man to go get slaves commissioned by Queen Elizabeth I, he was absolutely a Cherokee Indian, and almost everybody he had were Cherokee Indians. And the Cherokee Indians had money and they were the only ones able to even really afford slaves, and almost all of them were the ones that had slaves, and all the slave states were states where reservations were located.”
He went on to argue that Ku Klux Klan leader Asa Earl Carter was a Cherokee Indian and “that’s why they wore those hats that looked like tents because they were indicating that those are tepees and that they were hiding under it.””
“Michael, the Black Man” is totally insane.

I see a future for him in our Dear Leader’s administration. Bureau of Indian Affairs, Director of National Parks Service, or replacement for Carson?

I just heard that he had waited since 8 AM that day to get into the rally, and that he was something like 4th in line.

Not sure why you continue to support Hillary and Obama, neither have done anything for teachers or education. Obama did more damage to public education than any other president. Had he not laid the foundation, DeVos would not be possible.
