Former Marine General John Kelly took charge as White House Chief of Staff on Monday morning, and within hours, the New York Times reported that Anthony Scaramucci, the voluble Communications Director is out. It is not clear if he will find another post in the Trump White House. For sure, he will not report directly to the president. There will be a line of command, and the Chief of Staff reports directly to the President, with no one bypassing him.
Wonder if that includes Ivanka and Jared.
Republicans must be breathing a sign of relief that a grownup has taken control of the WH chaos.

Understand this nobody is allowed to be more vulgar than than the a– wipe and chief .
But as Lawrence Wilkinson said yesterday . I like generals who have one a war . Or more correctly he said none of the had won a war . What makes a General the adult in the room . Men who are used to a my way or the highway mentality do not usually do well when finesse and negotiation are called for.
I see how well this fine crew of Generals is doing in North Korea . Now they are launching
ICBMs instead of short and medium range missiles. I don’t blame Kim . Those who give up their WMD wind up dead. So Kim ain’t scared of the Generals . Maybe we need some diplomats instead.

Actually, “one a war” works. After all, Kelly has only fought in one war that the U.S. won and that was the Persian Gulf War when the 1st Bush was president. The 1st Bush knew when to get out before it was too late.
The 2nd Bush is responsible for the 2nd Iraq war that we might still be fighting in the 22nd century or until Global Warming kills off our species and most life on Earth.

With the exception of George Marshall and to some extent Eisenhower (who was average at best and I don’t include the “Military Industrial Complex” farewell address as a positive—easily the most useless glorified speech ever), no general or admiral has succeeded in the political arena. Even Colin Powell was all hat.
Let’s not get too excited about Kelly. Remember, he took the Obama’s administration’s shameful extradition policies and put them into hyperdrive. All those parents of American citizens who are being rounded up and deported came about on his watch. We recently had a case here in Ohio.
We need to quit mythologizing people just because they served in the military or attained a high rank. They’re no better or worse than any other profession. We’d be better off elevating the status of good teachers.

Try saying the words President Pence then go throw up. Or even Ryan

Saramucci is just another loudmouth, non-thinking, petulant, brainless THUG with a big mouth. How anyone can be married to him is beyond me.

She probably married him because he’s wealthy. Hopefully, she didn’t sign a prenuptial agreement and will take half of what he earned while they were married in addition to spousal support and child support at her lifestyle level.

From BBC News: “Mr Trump’s spokeswoman, Sarah Sanders, said the president thought Mr Scaramucci’s comments to the reporter ‘were inappropriate for a person in that position’ ”
You can’t make this stuff up. Unbelievable!
Trump, who says something at least twice a day that is “inappropriate for a person” in the position of being president should FIRE HIMSELF. Who is he kidding?
Maybe the new General/Chief of Staff will order Trump to stop tweeting.
This is what our country has come to.

Maybe by “inappropriate”he meant the Mooch was not crude/rude enough
As an expert on appropriateness (who most certainly did NOT have sexual relations with that woman) once said “it all depends on what the meaning of inappropriate (and ” is”) is”

What do you think DeVos opens with?
“Welcome, dead end public schools! Why are you all such failures?”
I guess they have to occasionally feign some interest in the schools 90% of US kids attend, no matter how distasteful it may be to meet with “the status quo”.

Diane,
Wonder no longer –
According to the Intelligencer/New York – “The four-star general is expected to bring order to the notoriously chaotic White House; at least, that’s what his supporters hope. Among that cohort are Trump’s daughter Ivanka and son-in-law, Jared Kushner. According to Bloomberg, the White House power couple endorsed Kelly “after losing confidence” in outgoing Chief of Staff Reince Priebus. With “authority over the president’s staff”—including Jared, Ivanka and Steve Bannon, all of whom now report to him—Kelly will attempt to limit the unfettered access to the Oval Office previously enjoyed by anyone in a red MAGA hat.”

Jscheidell,
If I remember correctly, you never saw a problem or issue about what was happening at the White House. We are all hoping that General Kelly can set some new standards, like the importance of telling the truth and of not tweeting new policies that no one else knew about.

Turn off the TV?

One thing you have to give Trump credit for – he’s got people interested in politics.
Of course, it’s for survival reasons but people are watching the pundits and actually reading the newspaper.
You just can’t make this stuff up.

“Scaramucchi Removed from White House after Mochi Food-poisoning Incident”
On the first day of his appointment, Scaramucchi unknowingly ate bean paste, which was actually a black puke from a Mochi-shaped ghost. After that he got sick and his mouth started running like muddy water filled with too many cuss words. WH called its medical staff and ghost busters to remove the spooky from his body, to no avail.
The day Scaramucchi became ScareMochi

Talk about the revolving door; this door travels at 75 RPM and increasing in speed every day. Scaramucci was there for just 10 days but managed to fire Priebus and precipitate the exit of Spicer. What ever happened to that obnoxious jerk, Stephen Miller, who is supposedly Trump’s senior advisor for policy? Trump may accidentally fire himself one day but then claim he meant to do it to cover for his massive pathological narcissism.

Joe, hoping that Kelly will push out some of those Trump sycophants. His problem is Trump, the guy who hired Scaramucci, perhaps the worst WH hire in history.
