The Russian connections to the Trump campaign and administration are head-spinning.
Trump has nominated a lawyer to head the criminal division of the Department of Justice who represented the Russian Alfa Bank until this past June.
This position is one of the most powerful in the world of law enforcement.
President Trump’s nominee to lead the Justice Department’s criminal division, Brian A. Benczkowski, said on Tuesday that he helped Russia’s Alfa Bank investigate whether its computer servers contacted the Trump Organization.
Mr. Benczkowski had told the Senate Judiciary Committee last week that he represented Alfa Bank, which is one of Russia’s largest financial institutions and whose owners have ties to President Vladimir V. Putin.
On Tuesday, as Mr. Benczkowski came before the panel for his confirmation hearing, he acknowledged that his work for Alfa Bank directly touched on suspicions related to the bank in connection with the Trump-Russia affair.
Mr. Benczkowski said he had agreed to help his law firm, Kirkland & Ellis, represent Alfa Bank amid the intense scrutiny of the Trump-Russia investigation knowing that he might be nominated for a job in the Trump administration, a disclosure that prompted incredulity from several Democrats.
Is there anyone in the Trump administration who has no connections to Russian intelligence or Vladimir Putin?
What is going on? This is bizarre.
How about someone with ties to Canada or a South American country or an Asian country or an African country? That would a change.

New requirement for graduating an American H.S. to be proposed by DeVos, 3 credit years of Russian. Trump and the Republicans took a loss in the Senate tonight . Trump has been kicked in the teeth. Does anyone believe that his legislative agenda would not be much further along. Further along if it were not for the fact that he ,his family and close associates should be hanging from lamp posts in DC , for the crime of treason. Innocent people do not fire FBI directors , special prosecutors. Expect the pardons to start flying in advance of charges . Followed by Muller’s report that will force the Republicans to impeach . If Muller is fired he may come back as an independent special prosecutor appointed by congress.

We have established a cult of wealth,worshiping financial success over other human endeavors. Ask Americans to name some billionaires ,then ask them to name some scientists or a medal of honor recipient.
As a supervisor I never would have dreamed of turning to an employee and taking joy in telling him “YOUR FIRED” . I also might have been knocked flat on my butt ,had I done so. The fact that millions of Americans tuned into a show that glorified demeaning workers shows a serious flaw. Are his supporters any different than the Romans who filled the coliseum to watch the Christens be fed to the lions. Any different than the Germans who took joy watching the suffering of others.
Rather than seeking a better life for them and their children they are content to “watch their neighbors horse be shot”, “Pawns in their game” a long sad part of the American psyche . One that will only be countered by a collapse that causes real suffering to befall the celebrants , the deplorables, one of the few things Clinton got right. Of course she could not stand behind that either. One can not support despicable thug without being one themselves.

This ‘enlightening and informational’ information came out in the White House email this morning. This article was accompanied by a photo of Trump and DeVos with his arms resting happily upon two standing children in their classroom. In the back of the photo was Ivanka and her husband.
How wonderful that Trump is donating his second-quarter salary to the Department of Education. (Wow. Does that make me stand up and cheer.) He also proudly donated his salary to the National Park Service after cutting their funding.
He wants photo-ops and has no real interest in improving education in this country.

The funds will be used to host a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)-focused camp for students. This announcement is the latest step that President Trump has taken in order to inspire interest in the STEM related areas of study and ensure that Americans are being trained for the jobs of the future.
Earlier in the year, President Trump signed the INSPIRE Act which encourages NASA to have women and girls participate in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and to pursue careers in aerospace. He also signed the Promoting Women in Entrepreneurship Act which aims to enable the National Science Foundation to support women in the sciences.
Additionally, the Trump Administration further established its commitment to empowering the American worker during Workforce Development week in June. Throughout the week, the administration took steps to support our nation’s workforce including announcing plans to make apprenticeship programs more available and ensuring the effective spending of workforce development funds.
Since taking office, President Trump has been donating his quarterly salary to initiatives of national signifigance. In Quarter 1, President Trump donated his salary to the Department of Interior, and the funds went to the National Park Service to aid in its goal of preserving our country’s national security.
