This has nothing to do with education.
It is a video of a man jumping from an airplane 25,000 feet high. He is not wearing a parachute. He has to land in a net almost five miles below the airplane.
Why am I posting it? I have watched it many times. I have shown it to friends. It amazes me. I get a sense of awe. The courage. The madness. The determination. The fearlessness.
Maybe it inspired me to try paragliding, even though I am terrified of heights, not in great shape, and had a guide.
I have never asked, “What were his test scores?” (There! It has a little bit to do with education, tangentially.)

If you want to be just as (if not even more) amazed and inspired, read about Alex Honnold ,who just climbed the 3000 foot vertical (and in some cases overhanging) rock face in Yosemite called El Capitan without a rope or anything to catch his fall. Any mistake during the 4 hours it took him to do it would have meant certain death.
While it might sound crazy, Honnold is actually extremely analytical and methodical about his solo climbing. He spent thousands of hours preparing for that one climb, including practicing many times with a rope for safety until he was confident he could do it without error.
Jumping without a parachute out of a plane from 25,000 feet trying g to hit a tiny net below sounds insane by comparison.

Incredible, he hit the net at 120 MPH with no apparent injuries. I still have trouble believing what I saw but there it is, he did it, it’s documented by many news sources.

It took him and his crew 2 years to prepare for this stunt. He made many practice jumps with a parachute before attempting sans parachute.
