Alison Gopnik is a professor of psychology at the University of California (Berkeley) who studies children. She wrote this article comparing Trump’s behavior to a four-year-old child. She thinks the typical child has far better behavior than Trump. Her article may have been a response to David Brooks’ article stating that Trump is a child.

Trump is arrested at age 2. He’s spoiled, illiterate, psycho, and a man-boy. IMPEACH him. He’s an embarrassment.
But then I also blame the DNC and their Super Delegates for that Dump becoming potus.

2 year old’s could not read from a teleprompter as he forced himself to do this morning. Brooks is right, he probably is stuck at 6 or 7 . But you teachers would know better than me.

One commenter said it well that the scariest part of Trump in office is that he actually has followers and I am not talking about “default republicans” who dared not cross the party lines in the election but absolute Trump groupies!!!! It just seems unfathomable that there are people who hang on Trump’s every word. The ultimate irony was Trump giving the graduating address at Liberty University (a supposed beacon of moral standards). Huh???????
Ralph Northam who is a doctor running for the 2018 governor’s position in VA actually calls Trump a crazy narcissist in his campaign ads…

I was delighted to see this op ed piece in the NYT today. I have been telling people to stop insulting children by saying DT behaves like a young child. He has a serious problem that most children do not have, thank goodness.

My comment at one or the other of these articles– I forget– was that I dislike media articles attempting to analyze DJT’s psycho-social motives. Who cares if we understand his personality-type? Does pigeonholing him psychologically make him easier to predict, or easier to forgive? These articles seem to suggests that in understanding his motives, we may attain some sort of control, perhaps anticipate.his next move. Nonsense! DJT must be judged on the consequences– or projected consequences– of his wordsand deeds.

Beg to differ, every attempt to de-legitimize the illegitimate president, attacks him and his supporters. As the constant attacks on Clinton
eroded support for her. One skit by Alec Baldwin is worth a thousand of my calls to the intern answering the phones at my reps office because it gets a thousand more to do so. Further it makes him more prone to say and do things that further erode his support. As he is unstable to begin with.
Every opportunity to normalize him makes it easier for him and the right to pursue their destructive agenda. A few more days of him reading off a teleprompter as today and we are in deeper trouble than we already are in. He read off a teleprompter at the State of the Union and was declared presidential by the likes of Van Jones . The fact that every thing he said was revolting was lost in the hype.If people responded to real issues and bothered to understand real issues it is doubtful the right would be in power.
It is sad that we have to resort to the same tactics the right has used for decades. But those tactics worked rather well. They turned Kerry a war hero into a coward. Benghazi into a kitchen table name for people who think Libya is in Latin America. Why Benghazi was bigger than the thirteen embassy attacks under W. Bigger than the Barracks bombing in Beirut ! or was it ?
However I have no guilt about using the same tactics, for he is certainly not normal and is a threat to democracy. I will admit I have no need for long detailed articles, like the one in Alternet today that explained why he is suffering from dementia . All that is required is 10 seconds of him unscripted and the constant demeaning keeps the 7 year old off script.
