This is a useful and informative summary of the highlights of today’s hearings, where intelligence officials confirmed that they are investigating possible collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. They also said they knew of no evidence that Trump Tower was wiretapped.
The most amusing part of the summary is the compilation of tweets by Trump. He thinks the day’s exchanges cleared him of any culpability for anything. The funniest tweet is the last one cited, where he questions whether there is an investigation of collusion between the Clinton campaign and the Russian government.
Bottom line: don’t hold your breath waiting for a Trump-Spicer apology to President Obama or to the British government, which Spicer and Trump accused of spying on behalf of the Obama administration.
Paul Krugman sums it up: we are in an era of Trumpian infallibility. The president is never wrong and never apologizes. Strangest of all is that he gets his information not from the nation’s intelligence agencies (which he doesn’t trust) but from rightwing wackos like Alex Jones of InfoWars and “Judge” Napolitano of Fox News.

seems like this “educational” blog has been captured by the deep state.

Joseph,
The truth is hard to take, isn’t it, when you walk in lockstep with a pathological liar? The FBI, the National Security Agency, neither would support his claim that Trump Tower had been wiretapped by Obama and/or the British. How will he spin it? He also finds a way.

Wow, Diane how will you spin this? Latest news out says that Trump was right, telling the truth and the MSM was lying, he and his family were being surveilled for years, according to Congress, with nothing to do with Russia, not the America that I know, whether you like him or not, and I disagree with many of his policies. We liberals are drinking the kool aid.

Joseph,
What do you mean by “we liberals”?
No one said that Trump’s wires were tapped in Trump Tower.
The wires are in his head.

No, Joseph, you are the one drinking the same Kool-Aid that Trump drinks, a drink that damages brain cells and the ability to reason.

The malignant narcissist in the White House is also getting advice from Steven Bannon’s mob and the cabal of support services paid for by the Mercer family. It’s obvious that these billionaire freaks are convinced that ignoring the truth while focusing on creating more conspiracy theories, and spreading misinformation and lies for the masses will help them achieve their horrible agenda to destroy the republic and get rid of the social safety net.

Joel,
I watched part of the hearings and it was damning. Comey said there is a criminal investigation involving Russian interference in our election and possible collusion with Trump campaign. Comey said there was no evidence that anyone wore tapped Trump Tower. Comey said Russis made no efforts to hide its interference in the campaign. They wanted the world to know. They especially wanted us to know.

Did you almost choke when Comey said mid July .
Soon to come some very unappealing pictures of Trump in bed with two Russian hookers .
The Climate march will not come soon enough . Some Brazilian style street demonstration should be on the plate . Pushing for multiple impeachments. If they can do it in Rio we can do it here.

You might want to get on a plane, but I don’t. Not until there is a sane president in the White House and that might not be for four to eight years or more.
With the malignant narcissist in the White House, even if we are a citizen, if we leave the country, if we have criticized Trump in any way, we risk being banned from returning while the courts fight it out to let us back in.
The malignant narcissist is an insane monster, and if he manages to crush the courts/judges, all bets are off, because the U.S. Constitution will be meaningless. Trump could freeze our bank accounts, blacklist us from working, etc. What happens if you are trapped outside the country with no money?
Trump won’t have to round up and throw his critics in prison camps because homelessness and starvation will get rid of them for him.
Heck, states that voted overwhelmingly against Trump like California, Hawaii, and his own New York state, might be kicked out of the union and they won’t have to leave on their own.
But then with a defeated court system and no Constitution, Trump could make it illegal for anyone who didn’t vote for him the first time to ever vote again for any thing. In fact, he might get rid of the need to vote and declare himself Emperor for Life with Ivanka taking over when he dies. Imagine, the Trump family might end up being the first imperial family of the United States and best buddies with the leader of North Korea.

Here is some good news about Trump’s declining approval rating from The Atlantic:
Trump’s approval ratings continue to slip: Only 37 percent of Americans say they like what he’s doing, while 57 percent say they don’t—and the numbers suggest some of his voters have lost faith. The president has tried to follow through with his campaign promise of making America stronger with a budget proposal that’s heavy on military spending—an investment that won’t necessarily translate into more “winning” overseas. But the message that arguably won him the election was his anti-immigration rhetoric—a platform that has a key architect in none other than Kellyanne Conway.

As a retired teacher, parent of three grown children and grandparent of three grandchildren, I have seen children who lie do exactly what Trump has been demonstrating. But Trump is 70 years old and highly unlikely to be drawn toward truth-telling now when he’s been so successful with lies his whole life. Read up on a liars’ behavior. That’s where you’ll find Trump.

I just saw this on Quartz. Who is looking after ethics violations? Shouldn’t someone be doing something about this takeover by family members?
Of course, the Great Lier only trusts family and people who bow to his money.
……….
Ivanka Trump got an office in the West Wing. The daughter of the US president will be a regular presence in the White House, which raises ethical questions considering she has no official role in the administration. She’s also due to receive a security clearance and government-approved communication devices.

What kind of garbage is this? I’m sure all the Medicaid people will love not being covered anymore. They’re jumping at the chance to loose their health care. Are these Republican Congress members really that stupid? Trump is that stupid.
…………….
During a private meeting with House Republicans, President Trump reportedly told lawmakers that they could lose their seats in 2018 if they don’t back the GOP health-care bill. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell issued a similar warning, telling reporters “the American people would be deeply disappointed” if Republican dissenters keep the bill from passing the House on Thursday.

This just came out from BBC:
Donald Trump Jr criticises London mayor after terror attack
BBC From the section US & Canada
President Donald Trump’s son has come under fire for criticising London’s mayor, shortly after a terror attack on the UK capital killed three people….
Mr Khan, London’s first Muslim mayor, has previously clashed with Mr Trump’s father, in January denouncing the US president’s travel ban as “shameful and cruel”.
Last year, he accused the then-candidate Trump of being “ignorant” about Islam.
Mr Trump responded by challenging the mayor to an IQ test.
