I see that Atlanta SB is also going to vote on closing and consolidating schools and some angry parents are going to be holding a rally on Monday.

A quick search shows Atlanta hired Boston Consulting group in 2015 to
“On Tuesday, Atlanta Public Schools launched an eight-week “New School Turnaround Strategy Project” guided by the Boston Consulting Group.”

And someone obviously paid to get the result they wanted since BCG is known for this strategy

This is right out of the Ed Reform playbook. We are going to improve and turnaround schools by closing them.

The headscratcher is that the Portland school board dipped into Atlanta Public Schools for a superintendent once before and the outcome for them proved none too pretty…
