Wasting no time to cash in, Ivanka Trump is offering the bracelet (copies) she wore on “60 Minutes” for $10,000.
But all is not well with the Trump brand. The name “Trump” will be removed from threee residential buildings in Manhattan, in response to a petition signed by many tenants. The owner of the building says he did not respond to the petition, but you can bet your bottom dollar that he realized that the Trump name does not add value to his properties in a neighborhood that voted heavily against him.
I am pleased to see that the petition was started by my college classmate and dear friend, Linda Gottlieb, who gathered 600 signatures demanding the removal of the Trump name from the building she and her husband live in. Linda was also the producer of “Dirty Dancing,” clearly a force to be reckoned with.

Ivanka appeared to be a lovely person and she expressed herself very well. But using the White House to hawk products is crass and over the top. The other daughter did not speak at all. Very curious?

As a reminder…Ivanka also hawked the dress she wore to introduce her father at the Repub Convention, and then bragged online that it rapidly sold out. This family is only about the cash.
Did you see the total frontal nude photo of our new First ‘Lady’? It was juxtaposed with a photo of Michelle wearing a sleeveless dress. And now Melania is touted as ‘classy’…oh boy.

I would say whats on my mind but I am male and this is probably not the appropriate site for how I would describe our next first lady .

A friend of ours daughter goes down to Honduras on spring break to help rebuild with a church group. That’s a lovely person. My daughter with a degree in Fine Arts has volunteered time working with mentally handicapped adults after her 9-5 job .
I am betting that “lovely Ivanka ” has not spent a day in her life doing for others .
Like the Trump foundation her resume is probably not one to be admired.
This is not a shot at you Joe .

There are no Trump’s in the white house yet.
The ‘other daughter’ has a name. Tiffany did indeed speak during the 60 Minutensils interview, if that is what you are referring to. And we only saw what the producers aired. We do not know what ended up on the editing room floor.

Tiffany is Marla Maples’ daughter. Trump seldom mentions her. He cheated her mother in the divorce settlement. He said in an interview, this billionaire, that he gave Marla $2 million. Cheap. Got off easy.

Tiffany spoke? Maybe I missed that part when I rushed to the bathroom to projectile vomit.

Scott: Trump is already using his presidency and the White House to enhance his business interests. Are you happy about that?

Ivanka and her siblings wouldn’t be doing any of this chicanery if their father had any sense of decency or decorum and told them to knock it off. Instead he cheers them on and encourages them, conflicts of interest be damned. The White House is just another business opportunity for Trump. And this is the least of the damage that this gargoyle will do to this country. I still can’t believe that about 60 millions voted for this charlatan and fraud.

Ugh. It’s not like people weren’t warned. They had two years to show some character and restraint and there was no evidence that existed. They won’t turn into completely different people now, no matter how much people wish to will some magical transformation into being. It really doesn’t matter if we all “support” them or not. They’ll do what they do regardless of norms or rules, because that’s how they’ve always operated. They think they’re exempt.

After all this time I’m still amazed at how there is absolutely no interest in public schools among national politicians:
http://www.wbng.com/story/33721215/trumps-school-choice-expansion-plan-may-face-uphill-battle
The entire debate now consists of charters and vouchers. No one even asks Trump or Pence about public schools. It’s as if they know not to bother.
It’s an amazing disconnect because so many of us attended public schools and so many of our kids now attend them. One of the things the activists in Mass. found out was how connected people are to public schools- everyone they talked to had a personal experience with a public school. People are really attached to them! They’re woven into peoples’ lives. I knew that but it’s wild that DC STILL doesn’t get it.

What we all should do is stop buying anything associated with the Trump name. That would speak louder to them than any protest.

I thought they had enough money for life. I don’t understand their motivation. Live a little. Travel the world, lay on a beach all day. See music or art endlessly.

Gosh, maybe my daughter would like a bracelet like that. Slight problem though: she teaches at Head Start and $10,000 represents almost a third of her annual salary. I would get it for her but I retired last year and it’s about a quarter of my annual pension. Sigh. Oh well. I’ll just have to live with the disappointment.
