[intro]

Take action now to protect quality education for all students.
The fight for quality education for all students continues with two ballot measures we’ve alerted you to in Massachusetts and Georgia.
Massachusetts, Question 2 proposes to lift the cap on charter schools, stealing funding from public schools in areas of need. The measure, fueled by money from commercial entities, would enable the creation of 12 new charter schools every year forever, eventually draining billions of dollars from public schools.

Georgia’s Amendment 1 would turn over control of schools selected by the Governor’s office to the state, taking decision- and policymaking control away from local school boards and districts. A political appointee and out-of-state, for-profit corporations could run schools however they choose.

Here’s what you can do:

Anything from the HRC or her campaign? I know Elizabeth Warren came out against 2 a while ago.

Bernie also says Vote YES on 61 in California…thankfully he says this all over the place…on TV and today on the front page of the LA Times.
The Times followed his lead and urges a YES vote on 61…despite they hundreds of millions Big Pharma has spent to defeat this.

BTW…the LA Times also urges a YES Vote on Prop. 55…and that is the way I am voting…but I spoke out before the Times about this terrible public policy re taxation.

HRC will not say anything on this; she owes her charter-loving donors too much. The real test will be on whom she appoints to head the U.S.Department of Education …
If only Bernie had received the nomination which was rightfully his ….

I agree. #stillmissingbernie. At this point, I hope he will hold her feet to the fire and ensure that progressive voices are heard.
