Graydon Carter, editor of Vanity Fair, has known Donald Trump for more than 30 years. He has many stories to tell. You will find his article interesting. You will see the human side of The Donald. And yes, his hands are small.

Sorry, but Donald Trump just isn’t very smart. I know he inherited NYC real estate but that doesn’t cut it for me as far as “merit”.
I was interested to see that Kaine entered a public school yesterday. That’s new and exciting in DC circles. I’m trying not to get my hopes up though. Obama campaigns in public schools too. That’s the only time they’re mentioned in that administration other than to use them as a comparison to the exciting and fashionable “charter sector”.
“In the minutes before school bells rang Thursday, teachers across Philadelphia and the United States gathered to underscore the importance of public education.”
Does showing up to support a public school mean his ed reform membership card is revoked? God, I hope so. We need a single person who is outside the echo chamber. Public schools won’t survive another Bush or Obama.

I don’t recall either Obama or Duncan entering a public school unless it had fired the staff and engaged in a mythical turnaround.
Tim Kaine went to Catholic school. His wife went to Virginia public schools, in fact, to a majority black public school during a time when Confederate traditions were still strong. Ann’s father was governor. He stood up for desegregation and equal rights.

Fascinating article on Trump. But still there will be progressives who maintain that Trump and Hillary are the same, equally bad, she’s a liar and war monger, blah, blah, ad nauseam. Sorry folks, Trump is such a threat to this country that I’m not taking any chances, I am voting my conscience, I’m voting the much lesser evil by light years. If we have the chance to avoid the disaster and ruin of a Trump presidency, why the hell not? It’s a gamble to a small extent, will Hillary get us more involved in Syria? Maybe, maybe not. She won’t appoint far right wingers to the supreme court, she won’t work to destroy our many social programs, she’s not a creationist, she’s not a climate change denier, she will keep abortions legal and she won’t be giving big tax breaks to the top 1%.
But by all means vote for Jill Stein and give half a vote to Trump.

Heck, can you imagine who he would appoint for his cabinet members??!!! I’m sure the NJ Gov would be on the list. That’s just too scary to imagine.

Two terms of this disgusting bully who has done nothing but defame and smear teachers, public schools and especially the teacher unions.

For the record, I don’t care about his hands, I’m more concerned about the content of his character.

Joe,
He comes up short in many categories: character, ethics, business skills, civility, and hands. The only part of this that gets to him is the hands. The rest made him rich.

Mr. Carter was one of the founders and editors of the late, lamented Spy Magazine; it was in that publication that the term “short-fingered vulgarian” was first applied to Trump. I miss Spy! How about it, Graydon Carter and Kurt Anderson? Is it time for “Spy Redux”?

THIS anecdote says it all:
” I sat Trump beside Vendela Kirsebom, a Swedish model, thinking that she would get a kick out of him. This was not the case. After 45 minutes she came over to my table, almost in tears, and pleaded with me to move her. It seems that Trump had spent his entire time with her assaying the “t*ts” and legs of the other female guests and asking how they measured up to those of other women, including his wife. “He is,” she told me, in words that seemed familiar, “the most vulgar man I have ever met.”

I tweeted a link to the article recommending the video in particular. The video, with its cuts between Trump’s words and some of the horrors of our country’s past (due to people who share his views), hopefully will steer some of those misguided “undecided” voters away from voting for him. The video is chilling, even scary, when one thinks of the possibilities.

I canceled my subscription to Vanity Fair, after reading a puff piece about Melinda Gates.
The interview questions lacked any objectivity. I concluded that a whole page of space, in Vanity Fair, can be obtained by the richest 0.1% and, it doesn’t have to carry the “paid advertisement” warning.
