In Buffalo, New York, the election for the school board was nearly a clean sweep for opponents of corporate reform. Of six seats, only one was retained by the old pro-testing, pro-charter crowd. The one survivor was erratic and controversial multimillionaire real estate developer Carl Paladino, who won by only 107 votes of 3,000 cast running against a teenage challenger.
The Buffalo Federation of Teachers supported the five victorious candidates.
Paladino invests in charter schools. No conflict of interest there.

How will Hillary react to charter schools? Is she trust worthy? I’m not sure what her education agenda will be.

That’s one of the issues she has “flip-flopped” on. http://www.newyorker.com/news/john-cassidy/where-does-hillary-clinton-stand-on-education-reform

More importantly, I think we will know all as soon as she appoints her Dept. of Ed. secretary.

Paladino is featured in a Buffalo board meeting video. He summoned a policeman, as if the officer was a waiter and, Paladino wanted his glass refilled. Instead of filling the glass, Paladino used the threat of police, to force the ouster of a respectful citizen, making public comment.

I am amazed that our current Secretary of Education allowed someone like Paladino to be seated as a Board of Education member. Yes, like Paladino, King wishes to promote expansion of Cheater Schools. But Paladino circulated animal porn to his friends and also circulated an edited photo of President Obama and the First Lady in African tribal garb and with bones stuck through their cheek. If King had the courage to stand up for what is right he would have never permitted a racist troublemaker like Paladino to be seated. Tells you a great deal about Paladino, and also about our spineless Secretary of Education!
