Glitches fixed, PARCC testing in New Jersey resumes. http://www.app.com/story/news/education/in-our-schools/2016/04/20/parcc-testing-canceled/83272548/
The best antidote to this travesty is to refuse to take the test. Teachers should write their own tests to test what they taught.

“…already-hired substitute teachers were left with nothing to do… ‘In a district like ours when we’re already over budget and cash-strapped, those kind of things really hurt our district,” said Freehold Borough parent Roxann Siver, …’We have to hire substitutes to help out in our schools (for testing), now we have to do that another day.'”
Will Hespe solicit reimbursement requests from each district & hold Pearson responsible under its contract with New Jersey? Oh, wait, do NJ districts get any supplements in the first place to cover the expenses of fed-required data collection (i.e., annual online PARCC testing)? Would fed taxpayers even agree to pay such aid to schools if asked? Are state taxpayers fine with picking up the tab for unfunded ed mandates?
No, no, no, and no. What we already got is PARCC replacing the HSPA (high school exit exam) and NJASK (annual NCLB tests) [ = ‘It’s already in your budget’ even tho the HSPA & NJASK were paper& pencil). What we’re likely to get more of is Hespe’s continued pressure to ‘eliminate unnecessary testing’ [ = ‘just get rid of your teacher-designed midterms, finals, et al appropriate assessments of actual content covered’]
