Join your friends and allies in Raleigh this weekend, April 16-17 for the third annual conference of the Network for Public Education. It is not too late to register.
You will meet the leading activists for public education from across the nation. You will meet your favorite bloggers.
You will hear the great Rev. William Barber, the state’s best known civil rights leader.
You will receive stickers and cards to hand out wherever you go, urging the repeal of HB2, the despicable anti-LGBT legislation.
You will lend support to teachers and parents in an embattled state, now controlled by a Tea Party legislature and governor.
Join us! You will meet colleagues from everywhere who share your values and dreams.
Help build a movement to take back our public schools and assure equal educational opportunity for all children.

Looking forward to the conference. My flight arrives around 2 pm Friday, anyone else getting in then and want to share a cab?

I’m a huge fan of this blog and a big supporter of the NPE, and I would really like to become more involved in the fight to save public education. However, this is the second time that NPE has scheduled its conference for the same weekend as the NCTM conference. Can we get some better coordination in the future so that we math teachers can attend both?

Have really been interested in attending but haven’t been able to yet. Can we consider having the conference in or near Connecticut next year?

Mary, next year we will go to west coast.
Come to Raleigh so you don’t have to wait two years

Thank you for responding so quickly, Diane. Unfortunately, I am unable to make the conference this year.
Thank you so very much for all that you do for the good of our children.
Mary
