UNICEF has released its annual report: The State of the World’s Children, 2015.
I was honored to be invited to contribute a chapter. My contribution is one of a large number of stories about how to improve the lives of the world’s children.
You might enjoy reading the report.

Eloquent, simple and powerful.
Ravitch’s argument bearing on “the euphemism of choice.”
“In effect, this creates a dual school system, both funded by the public but operating under very different rules. The privatized sector is free to choose its students, while the public sector must accept all students, including those kicked out by the privatized sector.”
I hope to live long enough to see this become a court case and WON, revisiting the civil rights issue. The bigotry embedded in current policies, perpetuated under “the euphemism of choice” is blatent.

Today is the anniversary of the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). However, the U.S. has refused to ratify the treaty. All of America’s closest international allies have ratified the treaty officially recognizing the rights of children. Only Somalia, South Sudan, and the U.S. have failed ratify the CRC treaty.
