This isn’t news to folks in metro Detroit. I’ve heard of similar offers, of pairs of Air Jordans, and other bribes in what has become an over-saturated, cut-throat market. How perfect.

Because millions of dollars of research went into learning that $100 is a lot of money to to people who don’t have a lot of money.

Believe charters in Williamsburg Brooklyn also posted a sign on the wall offering a $100 bounty as the ultimately disgraced leader was paying himself almost a half million a year. Charters may make Madoff look like a petty thief.

They are acting like a businesses in which profits and market share are the goals and marketing is the means. Of course, part of the marketing strategy involves defunding and disparaging the actual public schools. The charter school movement is a disgrace.
