Jersey Jazzman has decided to analyze Joel Klein’s record, since he is now one of the leading spokesmen for the corporate reform record. In this post, he looks at evidence of how New York City students fared on the NAEP compared to other cities that also take the same assessments.

One cannot “overstate” the excellence of Jersey Jazzman.

Bridgeport,
Yes, but we should try to do so every so often!

Thank you Jazzman, but will your info reach the news? Oh no, they will probably spout Klein’s false claims. Keep up the good work. Eventually everyone will know.

Excellent job and great charts. Jersey Jazzman rocks. Mayoral control is a loser for the public and students anywhere it is employed. Lucky for California it is against our state constitution. Of course that did not stop Villaraigosa from trying to make it happen anyway (AB 1381). He lost in the courts eventually. All they want is one person to have to buy off. Think about how much easier business would be with only having to deal with one person for all goods and services instead of many.

Jersey Jazzman and Dr. Bruce Baker, the dynamic duo of deflating hype and mendacious reformer statements. Thanks for the references we can use to further the argument, it may actually become a debate someday.
