Trump should be forced to listen to this song from singer-songwriter Grace VanderWaal who sang her song at The Special Olympics Closing Ceremony in 2017 at the age of 13. Grace wrote and first performed this song when she was 12 and still competing on America’s Got Talent.

Trump’s level of revulsion never seems to stop. I guess the only thing he likes to watch is beautiful women and they are only good if he can attack them.
I can’t imagine anything worse than not applauding the heroic efforts of those who are disabled. Life for them is such a difficult time and those who compete are marvelous.
I wish Trump would disappear so I can have some peace of mind. I’m tired of his governing by Tweets that damage people and this country.

Trump does not love “beautiful women.” He loves walking, talking blowup doll substitutes for actual women–plastic, Barbie-dollish caricatures that exist only in the fantasies of a certain kind of crude, lowlife man. His ideal woman is a mobster’s idea of Cleopatra.His “tastes” in women parallel his tastes in interior design (classy = goldplated, with his name on it in large, block letters).
His behaviors exhibit cluelessness about what is actually beautiful about actual women.

Embarrassing that we don’t want our children or grandchildren to see him. I remember listening and watching President Kennedy and admiring his wit, humor, and off the cuff eloquence, as well as his knowledge of history.

I remember Bobby Kennedy speaking extemporaneously from the back of a flat-bed truck, on April 4, 1968, breaking the news to a crowd in Indianapolis that Martin Luther King had just been assassinated. Referring to the murder of his brother, President Kennedy, he quoted the Greek poet Aeschylus: “Even in our sleep, pain which cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart until, in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom through the awful grace of God.”
We lost so much in 1968. When my own children despair about the state of our country now, I remind them that I lived through dark days, but that the activism which followed that year turned our country to a better path; that Trump, like Nixon, won’t always be president. Fifty years later, I try to hold out hope for them that we will persevere.

Remember that the GOP ran an attack ad against Senator Tammy Duckworth, which said that she “failed to stand up for veterans”. Duckworth, a veteran, lost both of her legs and the partial use of one arm when her helicopter crashed during her service in Iraq. While in the House, Duckworth promoted two bills on reproductive coverage for veterans, including in vitro fertilization. Duckworth, who is the first sitting senator to give birth, successfully rescinded a Senate rule which had prohibited babies from the floor of the Senate, so that she could vote while caring for her infant, including breast-feeding if needed, affronting some in the process.

I read some of the comments to this article. They were mostly against her bringing her baby to the Senate floor.
It’s hard to imagine how people can be so backward. Guess that’s why Trump got elected. How long before people respect each other and put their biases in a bag and throw it away? She wanted her vote to count and the only way to do that was to be present.

When a disabled, decorated war veteran (Purple Heart), who is a sitting Senator, one of one hundred people chosen to serve at one of the highest levels of government, can’t easily be accomodated at her job, what does that say about the likelihood of it happening for regular folks?
And while it seems okay for women’s breasts to be sexualized, given the tawrdy record of scandals in the House, Senate and White House, heaven forfend that a woman chooses to use them for their biological purpose.

Here are instruction for how to handle watching Trump . First purchase a DVR or DVR service from your provider. Next when he comes on hit pause button . Go about your business. After an appropriate period of time , he is long winded, hit fast forward till the revolting bloviating pig is no longer on screen. The same works for all members of that revolting party and their pundits . You can catch up by skipping the commercials , killing two birds with one stone. .A good alternative to cleaning up vomit.

I am a man, and while it certainly would not be appropriate to stare, I have no problem with any women who wants to nurse in public. It is natural and normal and a wonderful thing for the baby, should a women choose to nurse and as long as she healthy to do so.
As for the Puritans, let us not forget that the women stood behind the men’s chairs until they were done eating at the first Thanksgiving feast, while the Native Americans – men and women – ate at the same time.
Chauvinism and Puritanism might be linked.

Having Trump as president is like having one of your least favorite relatives at every family gathering. You can count on him to chime in when he should keep his mouth shut, get drunk before lunch, take umbrage at inoffensive remarks, be a leech or a loud-mouth bore, laugh inappropriately, make a scene that ruins the holiday. The most generous remark of which he is capable (perhaps “It was tough to watch”?) reveals him instantly as shallow and self-absorbed.

During the primaries, long before anyone could imagine the impossible, this video titled “Donald Trump is Your Drunk Neighbor” made the rounds. Two guys are sitting on a porch, and one is the drunk neighbor; the other is pretending to listen. They lip-synched the words to match actual recordings of things Trump has said.
Seemed like a pretty good joke at the time.

Christine: I just watched this video, and am sending it to friends in Malaysia, Australia, Canada and of course, the US. I don’t have a lot of friends overseas but they totally dislike Trump. My Canadian friend lives outside Toronto and occasionally sends me funny stuff about our Orange IDIOT.

years ago a parent of a child with disabilities and leader of the parent advocate group explained ” they tell you your child is disabled… you’re in denial… you learn… and there’s the moment you realize your child isn’t going to grow up to be president.”
Old school – but there’s always that dream and thought in America “anyone can grow up to be president” – – sadly, this president is an example of truly anyone no matter how mean, racist, lying… can be president.. and this one is so far removed from the real world and the inspiration of a child with disabilities that he “feels uncomfortable watching”

In a campaign-style rally for Trump in Washington Township, Michigan he had the supporters chanting, “Lock her up”, in reference to Hillary. He boasted that he deserved virtually all the credit for the historic summit between Kim Jon-un of N. Korea and President Moon Jae-in of S. Korea. This was a fiery campaign speech in which he had tell everyone how great he is. [The man/baby has to have crowds cheering to feed his narcissism.]
He is worse than a mess. Mess is the beginning of a description of him and it degenerates from there.
