At a time when many states are taking a second look at the demands of the Common Core and the associated testing, Florida’s Tony Bennett has become even more zealous as a cheerleader for both.
Coach Bob Sikes wonder where his priorities lie: with the needs of Florida or the demands of the Common Core and PARCC.
Oklahoma just announced it was dropping out of PARCC because it cost too much and the state just experienced massive computer glitches in state testing.
Bennett doesn’t care.
Is this about Bennett’s allegiance to Jeb Bush?

Well I can predict a disaster here in Ohio where we are diving into Common Core and all the high stakes testing entailed. But our inept state legislators know this will enable them be rid of experienced teachers and eventually public education as we know it.
Events in Oklahoma may also reflect an election strategy by the the Republican Oklahoma Superintendent of Public Instruction. She will be standing for re-election next year (2014).

It is obious that Tony Bennet is out for himself and has NO CLUE. Didn’t another movie star did the same? Oh….Ronnie Reagan. Too bad these yahoos are not as intellectual and bright and can connect the dots like Matt Damon. Nothing surprises me anymore…it’s ALL ABOUT MONEY, CONTROL, and the good old boys and girls millionaire club. Guess he wants to be in the spotlight and just wants more moolah and doing BAD at the same time. SICK.

Bennet is a corporatizer first & foremost. He learned well from Mitch Daniels. Anything that serves to defund & destroy public schools is what he will do. I’m sure his loyalties are with Jeb & the Koch brothers.
There is a lot of talk on here about the outrageous salaries that many of these reformer secretary of educations are making. Well, as a hard working, tax paying, Floridian teacher, i want everyone to know that our Tony makes over 500,000 (half a million!!) per year.

Tony is a former basketball player and coach, so he plays the game for the team that is led by Jeb Bush. I think that Tony is auditioning for the Secretary of Education job if Jeb were to become president. Just remember if the people of Indiana caught on to his failed policies then Florida can also.
Bennet is just one more unwelcome northern import to Florida. Can’t wait for the next election to vote Scott out so he can send Bennet back where he came from.
Please don’t send him back to Indiana! He did enough damage here! It you dislike Duncan, you would hate having Bennett as the national Sec. Of Ed. That sentence gave me chills…
