Rachel Levy is a well-informed blogger who keeps a close watch on DC and Virginia education politics.
Here she wonders why anyone is surprised by the latest revelation about Rhee.
Who will investigate now that the two official bodies that previously investigated cleared Rhee without managing to dispel doubts about what happened?
And what about the hundreds of teachers who were fired because they taught kids with scores inflated by schools that cheated?

And what about the hundreds (thousands?) of kids who were cheated, because their inflated scores prevented them from getting the additional attention they needed and deserved?

I think we should start as many on-line petitions as possible getting people to demand that this whole debacle be investigated. What about some of the teachers who were wrongly fired, suing? How about the ACLU getting involved on behalf of those wrongly terminated? If this is washed under the rug, then we need to make as big a deal about it as we possible can. This could also be a way for more people to be informed about what is happening to our public schools. Who’s good at writing petitions? We need to get this out there.

It’s not just Rhee that has failed, it’s her entire agenda. The two are one and the same and cannot be separated. “They” will try and throw her under the bus in a vain attempt to salvage “reform” by blaming her while back pedaling a bit in the hopes that we will be appeased, but that AIN’T HAPPENING! Here’s how her Rhee-forms have utterly failed in the places they were most completely implemented. http://www.boldapproach.org/rhetoric-trumps-reality

DC Council has no plans to reopen this case.

She is wrong we need them professionally investigated, then if the proper standard of proof is produced charged with the proper crimes and prosecuted, If then convicted beyond a reasonable doubt given the proper punishment which should be jail time. If in Atlanta and D.C. they are prosecuted and then when convicted with “Due Process” which they deny teachers sent to jail or prison time guess what you will start to see across the country? This will begin to end as these educrats are wimps and when not propped up by their puppet masters do not know how to stand on their own. Let them pay the price and if they can connect this to the puppet masters no matter how high on the food chain prosecute them also. They do not understand anything except jail and no more good times at our expense. If we put people in jail for stealing bicycles and such why not for this. No excuses.

A commenter was correct we need to then do something about those illegally fired. They are correct there needs then to be a class action suit and the ACLU if they really are who they say they are should lead the way. Where are those fully financed civil rights groups or are they really civil rights groups? You have to look at who funds who to see what is really going on. That is why CORE-CA does not take their money, we just do the work and are quite successful at that. Last Thursday we just finished joining together long term the group which took on MTA and stopped Measure J which was a $90 billion dollar, $300 billion with interest bond and tax until 2069 in under 3 weeks and with less than $25,000. Do not tell me you cannot do it. We do it all the time without big funding. We use the system and our heads. If we all did that as CTU is doing they would be finished no matter the billions they have.

I’m sorry, but jail is too good for Rhee and her covered up pedophile of a husband… Sometimes bad things SHOULD happen to bad people….

One step removed – Consider all the corporate big-wigs and Governors who brought her in as the rock star to garner major contributions and subscribe to her version of management. Will THIS get them to wake up and realize they’re being duped time and again by short term, wannabe professionals?
