We who are concerned about the galloping trend towards privatization of public education often complain about the lack of public officials who pay attention or care about what happens to one of our essential public institutions.
I just found one.
He is running for office in Washington State. He is campaigning against the billionaire-funded charter initiative.
He demonstrates not only that the initiative is bad public policy but it is unconstitutional.
His name is David Spring.

I know David personally and he is a great guy. He took time to introduce me to our state legislators in Olympia for an entire day and is a big proponent of Parents Across America.
He is also a teacher and supportive father.
David can use all of the assistance that anyone can provide. He is up against a Stand for Children backed candidate who worked very hard to insinuate himself into the PTA and push through a platform on merit pay and then the next year a plank on charter schools. David’s opponent would be very bad news for our state in terms of education if he was to be elected.

I am greatly honored that you are recommending my campaign. I am running against one of Bill Gate’s long time assistants. My opponent is a leader of the Charter School Scam in our State while I am running on a campaign to save our schools by restoring funding and lowering class sizes.
