A federal judge issued an order late Thursday blocking President Trump from deploying members of the California National Guard in Los Angeles, and ordered the administration to return control of the forces to Gov. Gavin Newsom.
The restraining order from District Judge Charles R. Breyer, which takes effect Friday at noon Pacific time, delivered a sharp rebuke to President Trump’s effort to deploy thousands of National Guard troops on the streets of an American city, a move has contributed to nearly a week of political rancor and protests across the country.
“His actions were illegal — both exceeding the scope of his statutory authority and violating the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution,” Judge Breyer wrote of Mr. Trump’s orders. But he gave the administration a chance to appeal.
A federal judge in San Francisco on Thursday ordered the Trump administration to “return control” of the California National Guard to Gov. Gavin Newsom after the president issued an extraordinary order deploying them to Los Angeles over the weekend.
U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer, presiding over the case, granted California’s request for a temporary restraining order, granting the federal government a stay until Friday to appeal the ruling.
Breyer had expressed skepticism at a hearing Thursday over the matter, questioning whether President Trump had operated within his authority.
“We’re talking about the president exercising his authority, and of course, the president is limited in his authority,” Breyer said. “That’s the difference between the president and King George.”
“We live in response to a monarchy,” the judge continued, adding: “Line drawing is important, because it establishes a system of process.
In the lengthy decision, Breyer wrote that he is “troubled by the implication” inherent in Trump administration’s argument “that protest against the federal government, a core civil liberty protected by the First Amendment, can justify a finding of rebellion.”

OUR CONSTITUTION HAS TRUMPED TRUMP AGAIN!!!
A federal court has ruled that Donald Trump has violated the 10th Amendment of our Constitution by sending the California National Guard into Los Angeles without the approval of California’s Governor Gavin Newsom. The order went into effect immediately on Friday, June 12.
The judge pointed out that our Constitution puts strict limits on the President because our Founding Fathers who wrote our Constitution did not want America to be ruled by a king. The entire purpose of America’s Revolutionary War was to get out from under the rule by a “strong man” king who ruled by issuing executive order decrees. “That’s the difference between a constitutional government and King George,” the judge wrote in his ruling against Trump.
In 1770, after being driven to desperation by one of the king’s executive order decrees requiring American colonists to house the king’s army troops in their own homes, American colonists gathered in protest on King Street in Boston in front of one of the king’s government buildings.
The king’s troops opened fire on the American demonstrators.
At least five Americans were killed, and the event became known as The Boston Massacre. Those killings by the king’s army troops lit the fuse for the American Revolutionary War against rule by the king.
The blood of tens of thousands of American Patriots’ was poured out for eight hard-fought years during the Revolutionary War until Americans were finally free from being ruled by the king and were able to form a government controlled by We the People.
Sadly, today we see that those revolutionary Patriots may have poured out their blood in vain, because America is once again being ruled by a self-proclaimed king who issues executive order decrees that ignore the government of We the People in Congress and that ignore our Constitution. a new king of America who has placed armed troops in American cities on trumped-up claims of rebellion. The First Amendment right of free speech and the First Amendment right to assemble to demonstrate against rule by executive order decrees are now being shut down by military force, just as what happened to the early American colonists.
The new king of America and his social media minions have brought this about by years of cleverly-written and spoken persuasive deception. They have successfully divided We the People. They have incited We the People to the extent that we no longer engage in discussion of our different views with one another because the king and his social media minions have brainwashed millions into believing that anyone who has a different opinion is no longer just another citizen with differences, but is The Enemy.
America’s real enemies in this world are watching all this and are enjoying how the new king of America and his minions are manipulating We the People and returning America to the kind of place it was before the American Revolution: A place ruled by executive order decrees issued by the king and enforced by the king’s armed troops to silence all who challenge the king.
