Please join me and many of your favorite education bloggers and activists in Raleigh, North Carolina, from April 15 to April 17.
Our keynote speakers include the illustrious Rev. William Barber, whom many people consider the new Martin Luther King, Jr.; Bob Herbert, eminent journalist and former columnist for The New York Times; and Phil Lanoue, national superintendent of the year.
Top reasons you should attend:
- I want to meet you and personally thank you for joining our fight to strengthen public education.
- You will meet activists from all over the country who share your concerns and values.
- You will have a great time and make new friends.
- You will learn about what is happening all over the country.
- You will discover successful lessons from other activists about repelling corporate reform.
- You will leave feeling exhilarated.
There are still a limited number of scholarships available.

The Newark Students Union started a Go Fund Me page “Send NSU to NPE 2016” to raise money so some members can attend. I hope some of Dr Ravitch’s readers will help them.

Does the fact that this conference is being held in NC have to do with the changes we saw with RttT and the fact that parents are choosing charters because now they have more to choose from and rampant testing and CCSS and VAM, or is it because of these issues? (I genuinely want to know).
