I think it should be against the law to require our children to take tests based on a developmentally inappropriate curriculum for the purpose of making companies rich. Those results will then be used to “walk teachers out the door” as they move in to take over public education. Parents and children are going to have to come forward and say “No more.” The rich politicians have their own children protected. We have to protect our children.
Well, I couldn’t see the first one because I don’t belong to Facebook.
The second would have been more impressive if it didn’t look as though the kid were being coached to read something someone else wrote.
I think standardized tests are ridiculous and destructive. On the whole, I think they benefit the children of well-off well-educated parents. I’m not sure, however, how much videos like this help us work against them.
But then, of course, I’m a teacher (Orton-Gillingham certified, community college). What would I know?

When our precious children feel that they must take a stand because responsible adults do not, our society is in deep, deep trouble.
