Parents are suing the school district.
The media sees the injustice of the massive shutdown of public schools and the shifting rationales for the draconian decision.
Articles in the Chicago press lambaste the Mayor’s indifference to the well-being of children.

This entire scenario flies in the face of the common wisdom that wealthy entrepreneurs know what’s best for the working class (including their children) and should be allowed to implement their policies without resistance from the people!

I am glad for the parents and teachers, but I am sorry it must come down to litigation.
“Make ’em waste their resources suing” is an ALEC tactic.
You have to use whatever legal means are in your toolbox. Chicago has it on the money. Fight back. Do not take it for free. You can get rid of Emmanuel. You have the organization in place and Emmanuel, Duncan and Obama are helping you by doing what they are doing. Chicago is leading the way you must keep it up or everyone else will go into depression and they win. We deserve better and must take it for ourselves. The law allows it just do it. There is too much at stake to not draw the line in the sand and say NO MORE!!!!! I just took a fast look at your budget and general expenditures and you should take a close look as you will find that they are purposely crashing the budget and faking this whole thing for their personal purposes.
