Not just fixing the USPS, it will take decades to just repair the government of the United States from the damage Trump has caused to this country and that’s only if no more Republicans are ever elected president and the GOP loses its majority in Congress for at least fifty years or more.

All of our future presidents for at least two generations will have to be progressive Democrats with both Houses of Congress Controlled by the Democratic Party at the same time. Democrats will also have to end up leading the majority of states, too.

The GOP’s Trumplican Party must become extinct.

Congress is on vacation and the nation is in deep, deep trouble.
Trump is prepared to stay in office by any means possible. Pussy hats will not do it.

Vote like your life depends on a landslide against Trump and down-ticket Republicans.

It does.
Even if Trump loses he will use the “whole of government” to prevent his removal from office, aided by the executive powers that Barr has guided him to use, Jarad Kushner’s efforts to pull votes from the Biden/Harris ticket, and Trump’s pushers of propaganda within the US, from Russia, and others aided by Fox News, Twitter, Facebook, and the far reaches of the internet including the millions of crazies with QAnon, some running for Congress.

We got trouble, real trouble, and not just in river City.

  Trump believes, it seems, that he can win back “suburban women” by stoking racism: no low-income housing in your neighborhood. He’s counting on the Karens and seems to think that even after decades of stealing from the poor to give to the rich, there are legions of these Karens out there still spending their days doing their hair and vacuuming as though it were 1953. You are right that this is no time for complacency. The Repugnicans are working hard to fix the election, in case the Karens don’t show up, and who would have thought that so many racists and sexists would come scurrying out of the woodwork at the call of Trump in 2016–folks for whom the word “pussy” is a profound insult, not manly, like Donald. That there are so many of these people in the country, Laura, is what has shocked me most in the past four years. I will have a built in excuse for the after Christmas arrival of my Christmas cards! Even though my kids are gone and day to day life in lockdown is rather pedestrian, My ability to send timely, holiday greetings to my near and dear left with the kids.
