Governor Rick Snyder had the solution, he thought, to fixing the deep problems of low test scores in Detroit, a city that has high poverty and segregation: Snyder created the Educational Achievement Authority and gathered the lowest scoring schools into it. Reformers like Snyder think that democracy is the real problem, and if they can consolidate control into the hands of one person, things will get better.
Blogger Eclectablog in Michigan reports that the EAA is going from the frying pan to the fire.
Scandals. Incompetence. Corruption. Millions squandered.
Was as it ever about the children? Or about ripping off taxpayers while the children were treated as Guinea pigs.

Think oranges. You are a Floridian!

If we are comparing oranges to oranges, then these Michigan “reformers” certainly are Floridians. After all the Republican strategy to “reform” public schools in Florida is to give 100’s of millions of dollars to unaccountable charter schools/corporations, to create an incomprehensible “accountability system,” and to undermine local control.

The politicians, and the billionaires, do not give a damn about the poor. The politicians like to keep the poor impoverished, and the billionaire’s thoughts are “let them eat cake” – so long as we provide the crappy low-quality cake and the taxpayers pick up the tab for our provisions. As such, computer learning for the poor. Rocketship for the poor. “Personalized learning” for the poor. For profit trade “colleges” for the poor from which they can get locked into horrible loans, and either never graduate, but be left with the debt, or graduate into a profession where there are no jobs. Is it any wonder that the number 1 job program that unemployment offices utilize is “medical bill coder” – ? There are no jobs for that either it appears, but “students” must buy-in, and are left without a job. I know a few kids this has happened to.
The billionaires and politicians can spin the rhetoric any way they like, saying its about the kids, and what is best, etc., but the bottom line is they are one-note ponies. They don’t want to foot the bill for other children’s kids — unless they can make a profit on it — and what they suggest as best practices for the kids really is the cheapest option, the one that will garner them the largest return on investment, which apparently is sitting kids in front of computer screens, either at home or in a communal room with one aide for 50 to 100 kids. This is the same pre-k ideas they have as well. Please, lets stop turning our kids over to these greedy pigs.
Keep the focus on the corruption, scandals, billionaire inbreeding and incestuousness (all the players are connected in a merry go round circle), and save our kids from their money-making schemes.
Vote the politicians out of office.

In 2013 Eli Broad declared the EAA a huge success and lobbied hard to expand it thru the entire state of Michigan.
He was only stopped because several elected representatives in Michigan opposed his plans for the state’s schools.
If Broad had gotten his way this disaster would be much, much bigger.

Broad wasn’t the only one who wanted to expand the EAA. Michelle Rhee said it should be taken national in 2013.
Based on absolutely zero evidence:
“StudentsFirst founder Michelle Rhee, whose aggressive approach to education reform has made her a lightning rod across the country, believes that Michigan is leading the nation with innovative education initiatives.
“The governor and the legislature are leading the way,” Rhee said Thursday during a keynote address at the Mackinac Policy Conference, an annual gathering of Michigan business and government leaders.
“Some of the things the state has done — in terms of things like the (Education Achievement Authority) taking over low-performing schools, some of the work around teacher quality — are innovations and initiatives that I think are going to lead the rest of the country for the next few years.”
These aren’t “experiments”. There’s a predetermined conclusion the moment they launch.

Thank you, Reagan, Clinton, GW, and Obama for the awfulness. You will all go down in history as being jerks. We know all this mess is about $$$$$ and taking down public education FOR PROFIT.

The galaxy can be considered and functioned as our human body.
All parts in a human body have its distinctive purposes. To certain aspect, there is different level of seriousness and importance to the body’s survival.
Life has a history that keeps repeating: born, growth, sickness. and decay with a blending of greed, ego, and lust; or fame, beauty, and talents with or without sins.
Regardless or being intelligence or ignorance; compassion or cruelty; intention or naïveté, the karma will follow with us forever for every action we commit to do, for every thought we think about.
In short, we should remind the power, the rich, the authority about their karma that they will face sooner or later within this life or next life for all bad or good deeds which they intentionally inflict on others. Back2basic
